Port of London Authority Case Study and Testimonial

The PLA works to ensure navigational safety along the tidal Thames, covering 95 miles of river and estuary from Teddington to the North Sea. This area includes the UK’s second biggest port, handling some 50 million tonnes of cargo each year. The PLA promotes use of the river Thames whilst safeguarding its unique marine environment by promoting sustainable development with people interested in use of the river for trade, travel, recreation and pleasure purposes.

“As a result of the high level of service and commitment, the PLA has awarded Marine Fire Safety Limited the contracts for all annual maintenance requirements on their Stat-X systems”.

Marine Fire Safety Limited is proud to work with the PLA, supplying and installing the Stat-X fire suppression systems on a variety of PLA vessels, including those employed in hydrographic survey, environmental duties, harbour patrol and pilotage. For operational effectiveness and ease of maintenance, Stat-X systems have been specified and installed in the PLA’s four new patrol / pilotage cutters, built by Alnmaritec of Northumberland.
